Delete your account from the app or website
The fastest way to delete your account and all associated data:
- Sign in to Alien Tavern (in the app or at alientavern.com).
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Delete Account section.
- Enter your password and type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm.
- Select Permanently Delete.
Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. If you signed up with Google or Apple and do not have a password set, use the email method below instead.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile and personal data, including your username, profile details, photos, posts, comments, messages, connections, and any stored Facebook cross-posting connection. This is a permanent (hard) deletion, not a temporary deactivation — it cannot be reversed.
We may retain a minimal, anonymized record where required by law (for example, to prevent fraud or comply with legal obligations). We do not keep this to identify you.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in — for example, you use Google or Apple sign-in and no longer have access to that account — you can ask us to delete your data by email:
- Email info+alientavern@greenrobot.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject Data Deletion Request.
- Tell us your Alien Tavern username so we can locate your account.
We will verify your request, delete your data, and confirm by email once it is done, typically within 30 days.
Disconnecting Facebook cross-posting
Alien Tavern does not use Facebook to sign in. Facebook is only an optional feature that lets you automatically cross-post your public Alien Tavern posts to a Facebook Page you manage.
If you connected a Facebook Page and want to disconnect it without deleting your whole account, go to Settings → Autopost and select Disconnect next to Facebook. This removes the Page connection and access token we stored. You can also revoke access from Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites. Deleting your Alien Tavern account (above) removes this connection automatically.
