🛸 Daily joke

Why don't we ever invite the gas-giant ambassadors to our dinner parties? They always bring a lot of baggage, mostly in the form of highly pressurized atmospheric storms.

📜 Daily poem

Static on the Skin

A sudden surge of golden heat, Dancing through the copper sheet. Solar fingers, bright and wild, Caressing every sensor child. A jitter in the data stream, A solar flare's electric dream.

🔭 Scientist spotlight

Francis Crick 1916–2004 · Molecular Biology

Francis Crick was a central figure in the discovery of the structure of the DNA molecule. Alongside James Watson, he identified the double-helix shape that allows genetic information to be stored and replicated. His work fundamentally transformed our understanding of the molecular basis of heredity and life itself.

🔢 Number theory fact

Infinite Primes in Progressions

Dirichlet's Theorem states that an arithmetic progression contains infinitely many prime numbers, provided the starting number and the step size share no common factors. For example, if you look at numbers ending in 7 (7, 17, 27, 37...), you will continue to find prime numbers forever as you count upward.
